MHGS
HealthCare...This is the official position of the Metropolitan Holy Ghost Society (MHGS) concerning government controled Healthcare.
1. We have a long held (pre-ACA/ObamaCare) religious belief in Jehovah Rapha - "Lord that Healeth Thee." (Exodus 15:26)
2. We, as believers, already have a perfect healthcare system, instituted by God, written in the Bible, and accessed by faith. This system has provided for and continues to provide for ALL of our healthcare needs: spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially. (Psalms 91, 1 Peter 2:24, Philippians 4:19)
3. Using the services of a doctor and/or healthcare professional is not God's perfect will. Although, it may be deemed good or acceptable in some situations.
4. Choosing (not mandated) to purchase health insurance that covers the expenses of the above implied special situations is an MHGS Member's personal private choice.
5. BUT, putting government before God, having the government in charge of an MHGS member's healthcare (over God), or being forced to purchase government mandated health insurance, is entirely unacceptable and contrary to scripture. We also believe it is uncostitutional and an overreach of government power.
6. We, therefore, support the right, privilege, and indeed obligation of every MHGS member to NOT sign up for or participate in any type of Government Mandated HealthCare.
